• Bonding

Bonding is a conservative way to repair slightly chipped, discolored, or crooked teeth. During dental bonding, a white filling is placed onto your tooth to improve its appearance. The filling 'bonds' with your teeth, and because it comes in a variety of tooth-colored shades, it closely matches the appearance of your natural teeth.

• Teeth Whitening

There are many products and techniques available for patients who want to achieve a brighter smile. The best way to begin any teeth-whitening regimen is to schedule an appointment and talk to Dr. Stuckey about the differences between in-office professional whitening and at-home whitening.

INVISALIGN

Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You'll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won't even know you're straightening your teeth.

DENTAL IMPLANTS

Dental implants offer premier restoration after tooth loss. In terms of both looks and performance, we prefer implants over other alternative tooth replacement because it prevents more jawbone loss. Here is a look at some important facts about dental implants that you might not know.

Implants Preserve Jaw Bone Health

After tooth loss, the jaw bone underneath is prone to deterioration unless the hole left by the root is filled. Unlike bridges and dentures, implants fulfill the role of tooth roots to prevent jaw bone damage.

Implants Are Often Made from Titanium

Titanium, an amazing metal prized for its combination of strength and light weight, is the main material in most implants. This supports the greater comfort and permanence of implants compared to alternatives.

Implants Resist Stains and Cavities

Implant crowns are normally made of porcelain, which is resistant to stains. At the same time, the porcelain is completely invulnerable to tooth decay. These advantages mean that implants tend to require little maintenance besides daily brushing and flossing. Most adult patients are candidates for implants, which can last for life with proper care.

PARTIALS

A dental partial or bridge is a prosthetic that you place in your mouth to replace the function and appearance of a few missing teeth when some natural teeth remain. It is usually made of metal and plastic. It's possible to get removable partial dentures or fixed partial dentures.

A few facts about partials:
The two main types of dental partials are fixed and removable. The health of the remaining teeth has a lot to do with determining which type is a better choice for you. A fixed dental partial attaches artificial teeth to the jaw with a dental crown. It can also be attached under the gum with dental implants. Removable dental partials consist of a metal framework with plastic teeth and gum areas. Metal clasps hold the dentures in place, but they can be removed easily for cleaning.

Some benefits of partials:
If you have lost a few teeth, partial dentures make it easier for you to speak and chew. They help maintain the shape of your face and help prevent remaining teeth from shifting. Dental partials prevent problems that are caused by changes in teeth spacing, such as TMJ, headaches and earaches.

VENEERS

Veneers are natural in appearance, and are a perfect alternative for patients wanting to make minor adjustments to the look and feel of their smile.
Veneers are thin, custom-made shells made from tooth-colored materials such as porcelain designed to cover the front side of your teeth. To prepare for veneers, your doctor will create a unique model of your teeth. Before placing your new veneer, your doctor may need to conservatively prepare your tooth to achieve the desired result. You will be pleased to see that veneers look like your natural teeth.

A few benefits of Veneers:
They close gaps, correct minor misalignments, lengthen and reshape teeth, cover stains, they strengthen teeth, resist stains, correct a gummy smile, and reflect light just like natural teeth.

LUMINEERS

Lumineers as an alternative to traditional porcelain veneers. Veneers provide a way to conceal stains, chips, discoloration, and misaligned teeth by covering your actual teeth with a permanent layer of tooth-colored material.

Because Lumineers are as thin as a contact lens, their application requires little to no tooth reduction, and no anesthetic is necessary. Lumineers are bonded to your teeth and set in place with a curing light. Because the process is less invasive than with traditional veneers, Lumineers patients find that they immediately enjoy their new smiles without any post-procedure discomfort or sensitivity.

Cerinate, the company that makes Lumineers, offers a five-year warranty on its veneers, and their clinical trials show that Lumineers can last up to 20 years.
